We had a great night at the local bar last night, making friends with the bartender who gave us some great tips about where to stay on the coast and what to see. We've got a pretty clear plan now for thhe next few days, which is nice because I don't have to worry about how it's going to roll out and should just be able to enjoy it.
I'm looking forward to hitting the road again. It's been a nice stay here in Eugene, but I have the itch to travel. I've decided to stop looking at the weather forecasts because they seem to change every 5 minutes, and it doesn't much matter anyway - I'm 600 miles away from where I rented the bike and am going to have to return it on Saturday, so I've got some riding to do between now and then regardless of the weather.
I seem to be having trouble relaxing on this trip for some reason, so that's my goal right now - to identify tension and let it slip away. Actually, maybe that's why I can't relax - too many goals. Regardless, we've got a nice short trip (150 miles) planned for today, with a stop at a waterfall area along the way.
I may just need to have relaxation beat into my head - maybe I was so wound up from my personal and professional lives before coming on this trip that I've simply got that much more unwinding to do before I am there.
