Day 2 - It's MARTINI Time

Mark is an incredibly persuasive fellow. After taking it easy yesterday afternoon (having a nap and working out at the awesome gym here at the hotel) I was headed out to meet up with the boys for a dinner event thrown by Microsoft, and he rang me up and suggested we get together for a drink ahead of time.

A drink.

I had not planned on drinking at all last night after the previous night's debauchery, but of course one drink turned into 3, which turned into several more after dinner culminating in another tequila shot. This time, however, I treated Mark to a shot of the world's best tequila - Don Julio 1942, which went down so much smoother than the crap we had the night before. I also introduced him to the pleasures of a good martini, and as he puts it we "gayed" it up all night - sampling everything from pomegranate to coconut to Blue Hawaiian to grapefruit martinis.

We managed to keep the night much more civilized than previously, staying at more reputable establishments and keeping mostly to ourselves.

Today is a day packed with nerd events, with another dinner party this evening that I SWEAR I won't be drinking at.

Unfortunately, Mark will be there, so I suspect my will will bend.
